Odd tasting water doesn't always mean that the water is unhealthy or contaminated. Chlorination or the mineral content in the water could be the culprits of a funny taste, depending on the region of the state or country. If your water tastes funny, and that is why you prefer bottled water, you could probably save yourself a lot of money by investing in a water-filtration system instead of buying bottled water. Filtering water at home is cheaper and safer than depending on bottled water.
